Re: Water /Fire Flow Letter
Taco Bell (SP) — 11-00500143
To Whom It May Concern:
The Taco Bell site is located on Lot 18, Block 3 of the Tower Point Subdivision Phase 8A. This project is
proposing to construct 2,949 SF building with associated utilities and parking. The building will not
have a fire sprinkler system. This project is proposed to connect to the existing 6" waterline stub -out to
the site and constructed with the Tower Point Infrastructure Development, Private Drive G & H. I have
reviewed and concur with The Waterline Report for the Tower Point Infrastructure Development,
Prepared by Walter P. Moore & Associates, Inc., dated September 7, 2010. The existing 12"
watermain should provide the necessary flows and pressure for proposed domestic water and fire
hydrant.
The building is Type V -B construction and per International Fire Code, Table B105.1 Minimum Required
Fire -Flow is 1,500 gpm. Per Table C105.1 Number and Distribution of Fire Hydrants, use the fire flow
determined from Table B105.1 to find the required number of fire hydrants. The building requires a fire
flow of 1,500 gpm which requires one (1) hydrant. The proposed hydrant is located on the northwest
area of the driveway connecting to Drive G.
I hope that you find this information adequate. Should you need anything further, please contact me at
your earliest convenience at (512) 244 -1546.
