College Station, TX 77840 RE: Compliance with Chapter 13 — Special Provisions for Areas of Special Flood Hazard Campus Village Hike and Bike Trail The purpose of this letter is to inform the City that the design of the Campus Village Hike and Bike trail meets the intent of the City of College Station's code of ordinances Chapter 13, Section 5.E "Flood Hazard Protection — Special Provisions for Areas of Special Flood Hazard ". Per the design of the construction plans, the construction of the trail does not result in a net fill in the floodplain area and no loss of conveyance capacity. Because the construction of the trail is in general a cut condition, there should be no increase in base flood velocities or water surface elevations. The plans have specified that all fill is to be compliant with the FEMA Technical Bulletin 10 -01. Sincerely, Kimley -Horn and Associates, Inc. Chris Harris, P.E.
