1. Sh. 2 — Verify that the street light at the intersection of Rocky Vista Dr. & Deep Stone Ct. is
within 300 -ft of the next street light in Ph. 4
The Phase 4 construction drawings have been revised to match the CSU Electrical Layout. The
street light in Ph. 4 will be at the intersection of Rocky Vista Drive & Rocky Mountain Court
which is within 300' of the street light at Rocky Vista Drive and Deep Stone Court. The existing
Ph. 4 street light has been added to the street drawing.
2. Sh. 5 — Label the flowlines for the existing stub at Sta. 45 +02.75 at the manhole at the plugged
end. Please label the same information for Pipe 502 also.
The flowlines for the existing stubs have been added to the profiles.
3. Sh. 6 —The profile drawing for P509 has P508 labeled as 36 -in. Please revise.
The pipe size has been revised.
4. Sh. 7 — Pipe 504, which crosses Rock Bend Dr., is labeled as HDPE or RCP in different locations.
To clarify, this stretch of pipe is not permitted to be HDPE, and will need to be RCP on all sheets
where it is referenced.
Pipe 504 is intended to be RCP and the label in the plan view has been changed to match the
profile.
5. Sh. 6/7 — Please verify that the quantity of pipe matches in the plan and profile.
The pipe lengths on Sheets 6 & 7 have been revised to match in the plan and profiles.
6. Sh. 8/9 — It's my understanding that they are not manufacturing C909 -DR14, so C900 will need
to be specified instead. Please revise the cost estimate accordingly as well.
The C909 pipe has been changed to C900 pipe on the water sheets and in the cost estimate.
7. Sh. 8/9 — Please move all service connections so that they are not connecting to the main under
the pavement.
The service connections on W -1 at stations 4+42.54 and 9+02 have been moved out of the
pavement.
8. Sh. 8/9 — Please label the vertical separation distance between storm and water pipes.
The separation distances between the storm and water pipes have been labeled on the water
profiles.
9. Sh. 8/9 — Since the max depth of waterline is 5 -ft, please try to get back to that max depth as
soon as possible after crossing under storm pipes.
The waterline profile has been revised to return to the 5' maximum depth as soon as possible
after crossing under the storm.
10. Sh. 8 — Near Sta. 8 +00 the waterline and storm sewer need to have a horizontal separation of at
least 3 -ft.
The waterline has been adjusted to be at least 3' from the storm pipes.
11. Sh. 10 -12 — Per the Water Dept., please verify that services are no deeper than 3.5 ft.
The service depths have been checked and adjusted to be no deeper than 3.5'
12. Sh. 10 -12 — Please move all service connections so that they are not connecting to the main
under the pavement.
There are no sewer services connecting under the pavement.
13. Sh. 10 -12 — Please verify that there is a minimum of 3 -ft of horizontal separation distance
between the outside of storm and sanitary sewer pipe.
The sanitary sewer alignment has been revised to meet this requirement.
14. Sh. 10 -12 — No more than one service connection is permitted per manhole. Please revise.
N/A
15. Sh. 12 — It appears that a drop connection is required inside MH#4.
A drop manhole is only required with a 2' or greater drop. The drop in manhole 4 is only 1.27',
therefore, a drop manhole is not required.
16. Sh. 12 — Why is MH #4 shown to have an invert elevation of approx. 271?
The invert elevation for the 6" line coming into MH4 is 270.21. This has been corrected on
sheet 10.
17. Sh. 12 — For Line S -4, can the vertical separation between the sanitary sewer and waterline be
increased?
We have already maximized the separation between the sanitary sewer and the waterline.
18. Water Report — there are two "J14" labels on Exhibit A.
The node at the end of L15 has been changed to J15.
19. Drainage Report — (App.D, P.5) Which Corps Permit are you under?
We are under Permit No.199700476. A letter from the Corps referencing this permit has been
attached.
20. Drainage Report — ( "Depth of Flow in Gutter") Where is gutter 504B located?
Gutter 5048 is located at the end of Rocky Vista Drive at Inlet 504.
21. Drainage Report — ( "Depth of Flow in Gutter") It appears that the 4 -inch max depth for the 10 -yr
storm is being exceeded at gutter 504B.
Junction Box 501 has been changed to a 5' curb inlet (Inlet 500) to solve this problem.
22. Drainage Report — ( "Depth of Flow in Gutter") What's the max gutter depth for the 100 -yr in
order for it to be contained within the right -of -way. Please show that this is accomplished.
The max gutter depth for the 100 -yr in order to for it to be contained within the right -of -way is
8" or 0.66. This allowable depth has been added to the "Depth of Flow in Gutter" sheet.
