SURVEY: A side building setback of 7.5 feet is required The builder made an error when establishing the property corner resulting in a setback of 5.07 feet. The request is a side setback variance of 2.43 -feet. All building permits now state that the builder must provide the string for inspections t is the builder's responsibility to make sure that the string lines are i p he correct locations. As a Special Condition, the applicant states that: "An error occurred when the front left stake of the property line was established." As a Hardship the applicant states that: "The house is currently sold and cannot get clear title because of this mistake." The applicant has offered no alternatives to this variance. I received several inquiries about the public hearing sign. The callers were neither for nor against the variance. PICTURE: On the screen is a picture of the corner of the home that is encroaching. Can I answer any questions? Building setback requirements usually allow for some degree of control over population density, access to Tight and air, and fire protection. These standards are typically justified on the basis of the protection of surrounding property values. (t-4(ilttit\ a-01/0- (LP A chLitti odj (ci '" .
