This information is a follow -up to a letter sent in October. The request has been made by a property owner in the area under provisions of the City's Unified Development Ordinance. The submitted request proposes that property designated for residential development be changed to allow commercial development. City staff has analyzed this request for consistency with the City's growth and development policies and potential impacts. Attached you will find a color map showing the current Land Use Plan and the changes being recommended by City staff. The requested change along with staffs recommendation will be forwarded to the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council for their consideration. These meetings will be public hearings and will include the opportunity for citizens to address the Commission and Council.
