Re: Gateway Phase 3 Drainage: Rapid Conveyance Documentation The Gateway Phase 3 development is located within the channel reach section of Burton Creek where detention for flood control (Type 1 detention) is not required. The Gateway Phase 3 development is immediately adjacent to and discharges directly into The Tributary to Burton Creek Floodplain. This tributary acts as the conveyance pathway to Burton Creek main channel. No additional development can occur between Gateway Phase 3 and the Burton Creek floodway. Based on the Longaro & Clarke 2003 LOMR report (hydrologic model), the approximate total contributing area to the downstream conveyance pathway in the vicinity of Gateway Phase 3 is 172 acres. The developable area of Gateway Phase 3 is approximately 4 acres. It is anticipated that peak discharges from Gateway Phase 3 will enter the conveyance pathway prior to peak stage and discharge along the tributary.
