Scope of Project:
Beautify the entrance to the South Hampton Subdivision located south of College Station off Hwy 6 by
adding lawn and planned landscape irrigation along with lighting to existing South Hampton entrance
sign on southern lot.
Timeline:
Start immediately when approved.
Electricity:
Electricity is available on the northern lot entrance. Contractor will set a new meter pole (near existing
Nantucket meter pole), then route 2 electric lines to the southern lot via a proposed road bore under
Bay Street — the Subdivision entrance roadway. 1 line will route to lighted sign. 2 nd line will route to
proposed irrigation control. Each line on separate breakers. Both electric lines will route through 1 of 2
2 " -3" conduits. Irrigation water line and electric lines will be in separate conduits. Underground
trenching contract will be HB Construction who will subcontract electrical to Brit Rice — licensed
electrical contractor. A routing design is included.
Water/ Irrigation:
A water tap is available now on the southern entrance lot. We will request the meter as a part of this
improvement. A water line along with irrigation low voltage zone wires will be routed to the northern
lot via 2nd of 2 conduits installed also as a part of this project. Licensed Irrigation contractor designated
is Texas Landscape Creations. An irrigation design is included.
Landscaping:
Proposed landscaping will be provided by Texas Landscape Creations. Irrigation design includes future
landscaping. Landscaping design is proposed at this time but will likely be similar to if not the same as
proposed. Per meeting with city planners July 2011, we will be afforded some flexibility on landscape
design but can include under this PIP permit. We will apply for Gateway assistance as a part of
landscape only planned for Spring 2012. Proposed landscape design is included.
Contractors are responsible for all utility locates.
