The proposed sign measures 2' X 20' and will be maroon and white. With the addition of the new sign, the property will exceed the allowed square footage of attached signage, and the banner reading "Now Open" must be removed. Item Background: The "Northgate Design Guidelines" provide guidance on the placement and design of signs as follows: 1. Signs should relate in placement and size to other building elements. 2. Signs should not obscure other building elements such as windows, cornices, or decorative details. 3. Sign material, style, and color should compliment the building facade. 4. Individual shop signs in a single storefront should relate to each other in design, size, color, placement on the building, and lettering style. 5. Wood or metal is recommended. 6. Illuminated plastic signs are strongly discouraged. 7. Letters exceeding 14" in height are discouraged in pedestrian- oriented areas. Issues /Items for Review: Signage Supporting Materials: 1.
