SAM SLIDE: The applicant is requesting a rezoning from A-
O Agricultural Open to R -1 Single Family Residential.
Staff recommends approval of the rezoning.
LUP SLIDE: The property is surrounded by vacant A -O that
is also shown for single family development on the land use
plan. Wellborn Road abuts this tract to the west, and future
State Highway 40 right -of -way abuts this tract to the
northeast.,; ~:_ acrossEState Highway 40 right-of-
wayftgi the future phases of Edelweiss Gartens.

I have received two phone calls, one was an inquiry, and
one had concerns about the growing number of duplexes
and homes in the area and too many access points from
Wellborn Road.
Wellborn Road is designated as a major arterial and the future State Highway 40 is
designated as a freeway on the Thoroughfare Plan.
