Development Review Manager Molly Hitchcock, Staff Planner Jennifer Reeves, Staff Planner Jennifer Flanery, Staff Planner Chris Butler, Planning Intern Tammy Macik, Secretary SUBJECT: Aggieland Nails: Discussion and consideration of the current A. ade and sign changes located at 1933 South Texas Avenue(01 -182) A Wolf Pen Creek Design Review Board meeting was held on Wednesday, September 4, 2002 to review the above- mentioned project. Planning Intern Chris Butler stated that this is a new business and they would like a new attached sign. The applicant plans to match the other signs on the building. Commissioner Floyd asked about the signage on the windows and the door and what constitutes the number of signs a business can have. Planning Intern Butler stated that as far as esthetics in Wolf Pen Creek District, the board has the control. Commissioner Trapani stated if the Aggieland Nails sign is conforming. Planning Intern Butler stated it is conforming. Staff Planner Hitchcock stated that the signs on the windows the board does not regulate but if the signs are attached to the building the board has the discretion. DRB Member King stated that the sign should be like the neighboring sign. Planning Intern Butler stated that the building was repainted to match the building behind it. Commissioner Trapani moved for approval with the condition that by September 22 the banners would be pulled down over the windows. The date Home of Texas A&M University R:\HT LTR\PZLT R\PROD\PZ2002\P0006619. DOC is a month from the actual date of the grand opening. DRB Member King seconded it and motioned passed 6 -0.
