Roland Cole The proposed storage shed to be built in the back yard of 1819 Hondo Drive will be 9' by 28'. The foundation perimeter will be made of a double 2x6's on every side, with 9' joists, on 24 inch centers, supported by hangers. It will be supported by concrete pads and cinder blocks approximately every 7', with another set of concrete "piers" running long -ways up the middle on which will rest 2 x 6 boards for extra support of the joists/building. The flooring will consist of 3/a inch plywood nailed down with 2 1/2 inch aluminum twist nails. The walls will be made of 2 x 4's studs, on 24 inch centers, and 2 x 4 top plates. The base -plates will be of 2 x 4's, except the back wall base -plate will be made with 2 x 6's with the 2 extra inches extending out and off the flooring. This back wall will be covered with 1/2 inch Norwood 4 x 8 sheets of insulation and unused doors resting side -by -side on the 2 inch "lip" and attached to the studs with 3 inch or longer black wood screws. The other walls will be covered with regular siding materials. Two double -paned stationary white metal windows, approximately 2' x 3', with metal reinforcements over each pane will be mounted horizontally very high up in the back wall for light, held in the "box" with molding and waterproofed with white silicone caulking. If two similar windows can be obtained, they will be similarly placed in the front (South) wall, but lower, say 4 to 6 feet up, each approximately midway between the entrance -way and the end of the building. The roof will be flat (non gabled) but pitched, 2 x 6 rafters on 18 inch centers, constructed as per the suggestions of Mr. Chris Haver. (Attached) The roofing decking will be 1/2 inch/approved plywood, covered with felt paper , and then roofed with 30 year asphalt shingles. The roof decking will be attached with 2 1/2 inch aluminum corrugated twist nails or corrugated ring shank decking nails, and the shingles will be attached with regulation roofing tacks. There will be a single large entrance -way into the building on the South wall in the middle, with two sliding "doors" made of two approximately 4 x 6 foot plywood panels, 1/2 inch or tgicker, running in top and bottom "grooves" created by a form made of 2 x 4's when "open".and at the top when closed, with quarter -round molding or metal guides at the bottom when panels are closed..
