The following is needed in all districts for a sign application:
(See Section 7.4 of the Unified Development Ordinance for specifics.)
Fees
ci 1. Building permit and fee. The fee is based on the valuation of the sign.
a/2. $25 Plan Review Fee (unless in one of the special districts addressed below).
For Freestanding Signs:
o Site Plan - Be sure to include to engineering scale:
1. Frontage - What is the length of the property line along the roadway to which the sign
is oriented?
2. Location of proposed sign on site.
3. Distance from the curb to the front edge of the proposed sign.
o Sign Graphic - Be sure to include to engineering scale:
1. Sign Height.
2. Square Footage of the sign - The area of a freestanding sign is the area enclosed by
the minimum imaginary rectangle of vertical and horizontal lines that fully contain all
extremities.
For- Attached Signs:
Pictures or Graphics that show where the signs will be placed on the building and where all
urrent signs are on the building. Signs may not be 12" or more above the roofline or
protrude out from the building more than 12".
Square Footage of the sign and all existing signs on the building- The area of an attached
sign is the area enclosed by the minimum imaginary rectangle of vertical and horizontal lines
which fully contain all extremities. The allowed area of attached signage is equal to 2.5
square feet of area for every one linear foot of all public entry fagades of the building or lease
space, not to exceed 500 square feet in area.
Additional Information is required for signs in the Northgate (NG), and Overlay (O-V)
districts.
All signs in the College Station Business Center must be approved by The Business
Center. Additional signage requirements may be found in the Business Center's
Covenants and Restrictions.
Additional submittal requirements for signage in NG, O-V and the City's Business Center
o Color samples.
o Elevation drawings that depict placement of freestanding and/or attached signage.
**Signs proposed in the Wolf Pen Creek District (WPC) must use the Wolf Pen Creek
Building & Sign Review Application.**

i must have written it down wrong or something. The sign we are putting up is 28" x 51" which would equal
around 10 sq feet. I'm sorry, I forwarded the e-mail to my boss and he cought it ... and then I looked back at
the paper work and I guess I didn't convert to feet before getting the sq. footage.

Thanks for the information. Based on the new information, please see the comments below:
1. The Exchange: since the entry is 53', a maximum of 132.5 sf of signage would be allowed.
Because there's already 62.3 sf existing, only 70.2 sf would be allowed for this sign. The application
is requesting 95 sf and would not be allowed. How would you like to proceed?
2. Realty World: Everything looks good. We can permit as submitted.
3. OI Analyticals: Everything looks good. We can permit as submitted.
So, the only permit that needs adjusting is for the Exchange. Please let me know what you'd like to
do. Thanks.

Here is the info you needed to issue the permits we are applying for.
The Exchange- existing attached signange is a total pf 62.3 sq. ft. (this includeds the raceway
mounted sign and 2 cabintes on either side as show in pic.) I did verify that there is no attached
signage on the side of buiding.
the total public enry facade is 53'.
OI Analyticals- public enry facade is 175' with no current attached sign
