Gerald,
I just spoke to the city of College Station planning department in regards to the signage issue. We will be able to
get a sign similar in size to the cleaner's sign, but will need to go before the zoning board of adjustments to get a
sign permitted for a third floor tenant. Whoever advised the building group on the signage interpreted the rules
incorrectly. The size of the signage is based on the entry fagade size for each tenant with a maximum of 500 SF
and an additional 100 SF allowed for multi -story buildings. For example: on a typical retail center an individual
tenant's signage is based on the length of their fagade with a limit of up to 500 SF. Since all of the tenant's at
the bank building share the same facade, the 500 SF limit for the entire building is enforced. Luckily it is multi-
story or else we would not even be allowed to put up the cleaners sign. The ZBA will not be kind to us when we
ask for a variance because it does not meet their requirements fora hardship". They will most likely
recommend that we downsize the bank signage, which I am sure is not an option. We cannot promise any
prospective third floor tenant's exterior signage.

Dave -
This property currently has existing 477 square feet of signs permitted for Brazos Valley Bank. This sign cannot
be permitted without signed acknowledgment by the building owner. Currently, there is only 123 square feet of
excess sign area that can be used for all of the interior tenants in this building because Brazos Valley Bank used
the entire length of both entry facades for their signage calculations. This sign is 57.5 square feet which will
leave only 65.3 square feet for all other interior tenants at this building.
Please provide a letter signed by the owner that acknowledges that in permitting this sign, there will be 65.3
square feet of remaining sign area for all other interior tenants.
