There is sufficient capacity in the existing water distribution system to support the above
referenced development for fire flow protection. The existing and proposed improvements and
projected demands, for both water and sanitary sewer, are summarized below and are in
accordance with the B /CS Unified Design Guidelines Manual (UDGM):
WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS:
❖ The subject property has accessibility to existing public water for both domestic and fire
use at the following locations:
o Existing 16" PVC public water line located in an existing 16' PUE, along the
right -of -way line of Greens Prairie Road West;
o The existing 16" PVC public water line will accommodate fire flows from two (2)
existing fire hydrants which are located as follows:
■ FH 1 — SE Corner of A &M Super Storage facility approximately 230 feet
west of the subject property;
• FH 2 — Common south property corner of Lot 1 and Lot 2 of Creek
Meadows, Section 1C, Phase One;
Flow tests were obtained from the Wellborn S.UD. from two existing fire hydrants
installed along the 16" PVC water line. These flow test were conducted on February 15,
2008, by Wellborn S.U.D. under the direction of Mr. Steven Cast and witnessed by this
office. Since this time no changes to the distribution system, in the immediate influential
area, have been made. The flow data is summarized below in Table #1 — Flow Test Data.

Note: The reported flow is from the 2.5" nozzle of the identified flow hydrant;
❖ Fire Flow requirements and results:
• Commercial fire hydrants will be analyzed to provide a fire flow of 2,500 gpm.
This flow may be split between two hydrant so long as they are within 600' of one
another. This condition is meet for the proposed Lot 3 & 4 of Creek
Meadows, Section 1C, Phase 1B;
• During fire flow conditions, the proposed system and adjacent infrastructure must
provide the required fire flow with a minimum residual pressure of 20 psi. This
condition is meet per Table #1 above. The residual pressure was measured
65 psi;
• At all analyzed conditions, no water line shall have a velocity greater than 12 fps
in both existing and proposed mains. This condition is meet with a calculated
velocity of 3.99 fps in the existing 16" water line with a fire flow of 2,500
gpm;
