Development Review Manager Molly Hitchcock, Staff Planner Jennifer Reeves, Staff Planner Jennifer Flanery, Staff Planner Chris Butler, Planning Intern Tammy Macik, Secretary SUBJECT: River Ranch -Discussion and consideration of the extension of the existing attached signage on the front fagade located at 701 University Drive East, Suite 300A (02-163) The PRC held a meeting on Wednesday, September 4, 2002, to review the above-mentioned project. Commissioner Floyd stated that the issue is color of the extension of the attached signage. Planning Intern Butler stated the board could also decide on the building esthetics. Commissioner Trapani moved for denial for discussion purposes. Commissioner McMath seconded. Commissioner Trapani stated that this does not fit in with the building esthetics. Commissioner McMath stated he is concern with when should the board use their discretion to say it is not acceptable but yet it meets the ordinance. If it is turned down, what advice should the board give to the applicant to get it approved. Commissioner Floyd asked why it is before this board. Planning Intern Butler stated that in the ordinance signs in the overlay district are required to come before the board. Planning Intern Butler also stated it is going to be one sign and the reason for the extension is to identify clubs within the club. Commissioner Trapani moved to approve with the color of extension to match the existing signage. Commissioner MCMath seconded and motion passed 3-0.
