SUBJECT: WHISPERING OAKS (PP) - Preliminary Plat
Staff reviewed the above-mentioned preliminary plat as requested. The following page
is a list of staff review comments detailing items that need to be addressed. Please
address the comments and submit the following information by Monday, July 22, 10:00
a.m. to be placed on the next available Planning and Zoning Commission meeting
scheduled for August, 1, 2002, 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1101
Texas Avenue.
Ten (10) copies of the revised preliminary plat;
One (1) Mylar original of the revised preliminary plat; and,
One (1) copy of the digital file of the preliminary plat on diskette or e-mail
to nmanhart@ci.college-station.tx.us
Upon receipt of the required documents for the Planning & Zoning meeting, your project
will be considered formally filed with the City of College Station. If you have any
questions or need additional information, please call me at 764-3570.

STAFF REVIEW COMMENTS NO. 1
Project: WHISPERING OAKS (PP)-PRELIMINARY PLAT (02-00500138)
ENGINEERING
1. Pre-plats have topo lines. Provide topo lines as required. It appears a drainage
swale crosses the rear of this property. The City will be looking for a drainage
easement along the Swale.
2. Third note states that City ordinances apply. Ordinances do not apply outside the
City limit.
3. Please choose a different name for your subdivision. "The name of the proposed
subdivision must not be the same or deceptively similar in spelling to the name of
any other subdivision in Brazos County." Art. V Para. C Line 1 of the Brazos County
Subd. and Devel. Regs

Please use City topography lines for this plat. The drainage easement should be
based on the City topo information unless you have actual survey data. The
information you show conflicts with the information the City shows for this area. The
City data should be more accurate than the USGS.
