Dear Matt,
=
Per our neighborhood meeting held 6/7 regarding the proposed rezoning of 1850 Wm D Fitch, please see
the following summary of some of our objections. This does not necessarily represent the entire
neighborhood, but does represent the sentiments of several of the neighbors who are the most
knowledgeable of the proposed plan.
The proposed change in classification and use of the 5 acres adjacent to and abutting our Spring Meadows
subdivision to office/retail/professional/restaurant and other unknown or ambiguous uses will impact our
entire subdivision - not just the first and second tier of homes that are closest.
The density of the proposed development will considerably increase immediate traffic flow into and out of
the development, and that will considerably add to traffic congestion which we are already experiencing
on Wm D Fitch, and will affect our egress and ingress from the Spring Meadows subdivision.
In addition, the proposed development will increase the level of noise, disturbing the tranquil setting which
was a motivating factor for home ownership in Spring Meadows. The inherently necessary parking lot
lighting, building illumination, and night time noise from a proposed restaurant will dramatically
depreciate the benefits of home ownership for the entire subdivision, leading to the possibility of
decreased resale values of our homes.
Please take these concerns into account while considering the approval of this project.
Signed,
Jim and Earlene Butcher
