SUBJECT: Wings-N-More - Discussion and consideration of the building
aesthetics, an awning and attached signage on east, south, and
west building facades for a restaurant to be located at 1511
University Drive (02-112)
The PRC held a meeting on Wednesday, June 12, 2002 to review the above-
mentioned project. Ms. Flanery stated that the Board is to approve the building
aesthetics, materials, colors, signs, and etc of the proposed building to be
located next to Texas Roadhouse in the gateway. Mr. Thomas stated they will
use limestone from finished floor up to 10 feet high accented with split faced
modular brick. Above that is the base EFIS color to pick up the red and brown
colors used in creating a monotone backdrop. The official colors of Wings-N-
More will be projected through the fabric awnings. The neon strips at the top will
accent the parapet and red roof on the front entry. They have 8 inch projected
lighted letters for the signage. Commissioner Floyd asked about the neon band.
Mr. Thomas stated that it would be a surface mount directly on the face of
fagade. There will be 3 signs. Commissioner McMath motioned to approve as
presented. Commissioner Williams seconded and it passed 3-0.
