Box 9960 College Station, TX 77842 Re.: Ewing Irrigation (SP) - Site Plan Staff Review Response MBESI#: 1000-0136 Dear Matt: Below is the summary of the staff review comments dated April 6, 2009. PLANNING COMMENTS: (reviewed by Matt Robinson February 20, 2009) COMMENT #1: The map scale listed (1" = 30') does not match the scale of the drawing. Please revise. ACTION: See revised Site Plan. ENGINEERING COMMENTS: (reviewed by Erika Bridges April 6, 2008) V/COMMENT #1: A TS&V is only allowed on a 12" waterline if the tap diameter is 6" or less. ACTION: See revised plans and estimate. V /COMMENT #2: A minimum 16" encasement is required for the 8" waterline crossing. ACTION: See revised plans and estimate. I COMMENT #3: A dry bore is required for the waterline crossing. ACTION: See revised plans and estimate. l J COMMENT #4: Please verify that the fire hydrant is no closer than 5.5' from the PUE. ACTION: The hydrant has been adjusted to provide at least 5.5' of clearance. / COMMENT #5: According to the sanitary sewer letter, uniform distribution of flow throughout the day is assumed. Given this assumption, should the daily flow be 1260 gpd? Ewing Irrigation Site Plan Page 1 of 2 6%- t City Comment Response Letter , h • \I o cf) '~Iilll ACTION McCLURE & BROWNE ENGINEERING/SURVEYING, INC. 1008 Woodcreek Drive, Suite 103 • College Station, Texas 77845 (979)693-3838•Fax: (979) 693-2554 COMMENT #6 ACTION: The flow per minute was calculated to be 0.875 gpm which would correspond to 1260 gpd, however, we assumed (as noted in the letter) that the flow is 1 gpm which corresponds to 1440 gpd. Please verify that you were able to maintain appropriate cover over the existing gas and sanitary sewer with the revised grading for the driveway. The revised grading plan drops the concrete driveway by about 4" The sanitary sewer is approximately 7' deep in this area. Kimberly Winn at Atmos Energy informed me that the existing gas line is X to 4' deep in this area. She agreed that the revised grading would not harm the integrity of their pipe.
