HomeMy WebLinkAbout00072398 FILE ~0~_ copy ORDINANCE NO. 2560 / 9 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12, "ZONING", SECTION I, "ESTABLISHMENT OF DISTRICTS, PROVISION FOR AN OFFICIAL ZONING MAP", OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, BY CHANGING THE ZONING DISTRICT BOUNDARIES AFFECTING CERTAIN PROPERTIES AS DESCRIBED BELOW; DECLARING A PENALTY, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: PART 1: That Chapter 12, "Zoning", Section 1, "Establishment of Districts, Provisions For An Official Zoning Map", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station, Texas, be amended as set out in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance for all purposes. PART 2: That any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not less than Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than Two Thousand Dollars ($2000.00). Each day such violation shall continue or be permitted to continue, shall be deemed a separate offense. Said Ordinance, being a penal ordinance, becomes effective ten (10) days after its date of passage by the City Council, as provided by Section 35 of the Charter of the City of College Station. ATTEST: Connie Hooks, City Secretary Mayor APPROVED: City Attorney ORDINANCE NO. 2560 PAGE 2 OF 4 EXHIBIT "A" That the Official Zoning Map of the City of College Station, Section I, "Establishment of Districts, Provisions For An Official Zoning Map", of Chapter 12, "Zoning", is hereby amended as follows: The following property is rezoned from A-O, Agricultural Open, to A-P, Administrative Professional. 2.16 acres being all that certain lot, tract, or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Raintree Subdivision, Section One, in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, and being all that certain called 2.16 acre tract as described in and for the said County, with its certificates of authentication was filed for record in VOLUME 373, PAGE 461 of the Official Records of Brazos County, Texas, said 2.16 acre tract being more particularly described in the attached Exhibit "B" and shown graphically in Exhibit ORDINANCE NO. 2560 EI4=TT "B" PAGE 3 OF 4 Written Legal Description for Rezoning Application Raintree, Lot Reserve 1, Brazos County, Texas being further described as: Beginning at the west corner of Lot 1, Block 3 of the Raintree Addition; thence S 30004'53" E a distance of 365.65 feet along the southwest line of said Block 3 to the south comer of Lot 4 of said Block 3; thence S 42009'26" W a distance of 262.51 feet to a point on the northeast right-a-way line of State Highway No. 6 (East Bypass); thence N 30004'53" W along said State Highway right-of-way a distance of 402.84 feet to the southeast right-of- way of Raintree Drive; thence N 59055'07" E along said right-a-way a distance of 24.62 feet; thence continuing along said right-a-way and along a curve to the left having long chord bearing N 51°11'02" and a chord distance of 176.16 feet, said curve being tangent to both the preceding and following courses; thence N 42026'57" E along said right-a-way a distance of 53.75 feet to the point of beginning; said parcel containing 2.16 acres, more or less.
