NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
This is to notify you that the City of College Station is considering a REZONING request
for the following property:
Applicant: GRANT BARNBY
Subject Property: 3101 LONGNM; E DRIVE
(See attached location map.)
Proposed Zoning: FROM C-1, GENERAL COMMERCIAL TO C-2,
COMMERCIAL-INDUSTRIAL
The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday,
NOVEMBER 8, 2001 at 6:30 p.m. to consider the request. The City Council will also
hold a public hearing to consider the request and the Commission's recommendation on
Thursday, DECEMBER 6, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. The public hearings will be held in the
City Hall Council Room located at 1101 Texas Avenue South, College Station, Texas.
All owners of the subject property and property owners within 200 feet of the subject
property have received notification of this request.
Any request for sign interpretive services for the hearing impaired must be made 48 hours

Re* Request for rezoning of 3101 Longmire Drive
To whom it may concern:
We are in favor of the proposed zoning change but would like the following restrictions
added to the request.
Over the last year, my partner and 1, as well as adjacent property owners in the area, have
invested financially to improve the facades of our facilities in an effort to improve
Longmire's appearance. My only concern for the proposed project is that it should
continue with respect to this trend and not detract from the adjacent buildings.
This type of facility normally uses a pre-engineered metal building type structure. If this
type of building is used for the project, it should remain consistent with the adjacent
architecture, providing a minimum of 25% masonry where visible from Longmire and
Ponderosa.
Another concern is that this business type often has a storage yard which can become
unsightly. If this is the case, then it would be beneficial to the adjacent properties and to
the Longmire corridor if this area was screened visually from Longmire and Ponderosa.
