My concern lies with "25% of structure"... as far as I am aware, the day care will be placed in a separate building on the same site. Jane Kee 10/30/01 11:10AM my take on this is that the 2 cases are different. Commercial amusements are specifically listed as permitted in C-1. C-B specifically did not include them so it required an ord. amendment to add the shooting range to C-B. Page 1 ~ I would say that a performing arts center is not listed anywhere and therefore could be considered similar to other uses and purposes in particular zones and thus added to the list of permitted uses. I hope to have a design contract with the Wallace Group on the November 15 or December 6 City Council agenda. The design should take approximately 5 months. We will then immediately go into bidding (apprx 2 months). My best guess is they will begin construction in August. Contractually, I have 19 months from the date of real estate closing (December 22, 2001), but no later than the day of opening of both facilities. Are we trying to get it done with the conf cntr project or is it something we just have in the works? Thanks!
