REZONING SUPPORTING INFORMATION
1.) List the changed or changing conditions in the area or in the City which make this zone change necessary.
City initiated conference center/hotel project with associated corporate head-
quarters This area was recently re-examined by the p &Z Commission and the
City Council (30/60 corridor plan) due to this City-initiated project. Appropriate
changes to the Plan/Comprehensive Plan were made to reflect this changing use.
2.) Indicate whether or not this zone change is in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan. If it is not, explain
why the Plan is incorrect.
This zone change is in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan. The Plan calls
for mixed use with an emphasis on office, commercial, light industrial, and
higher density single family and multi-family housing.
3.) List any other reasons to support this zone change.
As part of this project, there will be significant roadways and utilities built
which will accommodate this project in addition to the entire surrounding area.
The roadway, an extension of Copperfield Drive, is in accordance with the amended
Thoroughfare plan.
The applicant has prepared this application and supporting information and certifies that the facts stated
