No C Discussion of site constraints and capacities (streets, existing structures, etc.) Runoff will discharge into an existing triple 8x4 concrete box culvert which is designed for ultimate flow. E; Discussion of any applicable previous drainage studies and how this plan will affect it When the adjacent Mobile Gasoline Station was constructed a triple 8x4 concrete box culvert was built which allowed the owners of the property to build on the entire tract of land. A report was prepared by Civil Design Services, Inc., Kenneth R, Rothe, P.E. 210.736.3188, titled " 1.546 ACRES NE CORNER OF HWY 6 (BYPASS) AND HYW 30 (HARVEY ROAD) K.D. TIMMONS PROPERTY COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS ", and a LOMA submitted to FEMA. Hydrologic Criteria Rainfall /runoff calculation method described and calculations provided Rational Method Q =CIA, QI00 =0.9x1 1.64x0.473= 4.96cfs Post Development Q100 =0.3xl 1.64x0.473 =1.65 cfs Pre Development Increase = 3.31 cfs Detention discharge / storage calculation method / calculations The box culvert was designed for ultimate development of this drainage basin and with the site on a Primary Channel (Carter's Creek, Carters Grove Trib.) no detention is required nor planned for this site. Storm recurrence intervals used The majority of the site will drain to a sump inlet that will discharge directly into the triple 8x4 concrete box culvert. The inlet is designed to accept Q100. ❑ DISCUSSIOn of other drainage facility design criteria used if not referenced in Standards NA Hydraulic Criteria i, Identify capacity of systems used CDS Report Section 8 Concrete Box Culvert Q100 =1022 cfs Ultimate ❑ Specify velocities at critical points in system NA Identify detention / retention outlet and routing No detention is planned for the site. ❑ Discussion of other drainage facility design criteria used not referenced in Standards NA ❑ DPDS Special Drainage Basin and Channel Reach Design Standards, page 10 & 11: CD Exchange — 1 503 Earl Rudder Freeway -- Drainage Report — Page 2 of 4 Pages • No mandatory detention for Carters Grove Basin Reference No. 6 • No mandatory Minimum Floor Elevation Drainage Facility Design ❑ Discuss drainage patterns / flows (pre vs. post) Rational Method Q =CIA, Q100= 0.9xI1.64x0.473= 4.96cfs Post Development Q100= 0.3x11.64x0.473 =1.65 cfs Pre Development Increase = 3.31 cfs Section 8 Q100 ultimate = 1022 cfs from the CDS report. ❑ Are they draining water onto another property owner? - if so, is it where the water flowed before? and is it not more than what flowed there before? and no faster than it flowed before? No, the runoff generated will flow through the driveways, into a sump inlet and discharge into the box culvert within the owners tract. ❑ Discuss erosion control measures employed During construction erosion control will be obtained using silt fencing and hay bales around the sump inlet and after construction solid sod will placed on the site. ❑ Discuss detention pond design (sideslope, low flow channels, outlet works, freeboard, emergency spillway) No detention is planned for this site. i ; Discuss maintenance access and responsibilities The drainage system installed by the owner will be maintained by the owner. Conclusions Veriti' compliance with DPDS (signed and sealed certification) 1 hereby certify that this report and accompanying drainage plan for the drainage design was prepared by me in accordance with the provisions of the Cities Drainage Policy and Design Standards for the owners thereof. I "xplain effectiveness of improvements with regard to controlling discharges of 5 - 100 year storm by a) Detaining No detention is planned. h) Accommodating runoff in existing / proposed easements or ROW discharging into primary system The runoff will discharge into an existing drainage easement / culvert which is a primary system. c) Combination of a K b NA Appendices ❑ References (all criteria and technical information used) A copy of the CDS report is available upon request, but must be returned. ❑ Hydrologic computations Land use assumptions for adjacent property This area is zoned commercial. Minor /major storm runoff at specific points The discharge for the site is designed for the Q100, as is the box culvert it will discharge into.
