The existing sanitary sewer that you wish to tie into is an 8" pipe. The flow of the existing sanitary sewer is to the northerly direction. Your sanitary sewer connection should be angled appropriately. We highly suggest that a manhole be placed at your connection to the existing sewer to prevent the chance of future stoppage and adverse impacts to your development and upstream citizens. 2. We size your water meters from your estimated demand. Our analysis of the water demand shows twice the amount of maximum flow. Please check your water demands as compared to your meter sizes. Please be aware in order to count barricaded trees toward your landscape point calculation, the trees must be in a location on the site that can be properly barricaded. It appears that some of the existing trees at the rear of your buildings cannot be properly barricaded. To properly barricade existing trees there has to be one foot per caliper inch of protection. They appear to be too close to your building for the proper barricaded protection. This has been an oversight on staff for not bringing this to your attention on previous reviews. In this instance you will receive point credit. Please be aware that if the trees die you will be expected to replace them. Reviewed by: Jennifer Reeves Date: 09/14/01 ENGINEERING 1.
