Install with underside of flange flush with finish grade. Attach to sprinkler 40 mains with 3-ell, PVC, swing joint as detailed on drawings. 41 G. Electric Remote Control Valve: 42 1. Supply in accordance with equipment list and size according to drawings. 9947.00 02785 - 7 IRRIGATION SYSTEM I 2. Install in a level position deep enough so there will be at least 10" of cover 2 over valves and in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. 3 3. Install a 10" green plastic valve box over each valve and fill to middle of valve 4 with gravel as detailed. 5 H. Wiring: 6 1. Supply wire from automatic sprinkler controller to valves. A separate wire is 7 required from controller to each valve. Provide a common neutral wire wit g white insulation from controller to each valve. 9 2. Lay wire in trenches provided for piping and tuck under piping. 10 3. No conduit is required for LTF wire, except under paved areas. I1 4. Make wire connections with waterproofing connectors according to 12 manufacturer's recommendation. 13 I. Automatic Sprinkler Control: 14 1. Install according to manufacturer's recommendation. 15 2. Install at location shown on drawing. 16 3. Connect to power supply in PVC conduit with water tight fittings and securely 17 fasten conduit to wall in an approved manner. 18 3.05 TESTING 19 A. General: Perform required testing under observation of Architect. Give 24 hours 20 notice that tests are to be conducted. 21 B. Sprinkler Main: Test for a period of 12 to 14 hours under normal water pressure. If 22 leaks occur, correct defect and repeat test. 23 C. Lateral Piping: Test for a period of one hour under normal water pressure. If leaks 24 occur, correct defect and repeat test. 25 D. Complete testing prior to backfilling. Sufficient backfill may be placed in trenches 26 between fittings to insure stability of line under pressure. In each case, leave 27 fittings and couplings open to visual inspection for full period of test. 28 3.06 FINAL ADJUSTMENT 29 A. After the system has been installed, make final adjustments preparatory to 30 inspection by Architect. 31 B. Completely flush system to remove debris from lines by removing nozzles from 32 heads on ends of lines and turning on system. Replace nozzles and check operation 33 of system, section by section, to determine that there is no debris left in the heads to 34 obstruct proper operation. If any heads do not now operate properly, repeat 35 operation by removing nozzles of heads not operating properly and reflushing. 9947.00 02785 - 8 IRRIGATION SYSTEM 1 C. Check sprinkler for proper operation and proper alignment for direction of throw. 2 D. Check each section of heads for operating pressure and balance to other sections by 3 use of flow adjustment on top of each valve. 4 E. Check nozzles for proper coverage. Prevailing wind conditions or slopes may 5 indicate that arc of angle or trajectory of spray should be other than as shown on 6 drawings. Change nozzles to provide correct coverage without additional cost to 7 Owner. 8 3.07 CLEAN UP 9 A. During work, keep premises neat and orderly. Remove trash and debris from site to daily as work progresses. 11 3.08 MAINTENANCE 12 A. Provide maintenance of system, including cleaning and adjustment of heads, raising 13 and lowering of heads, for one year after final acceptance. 14 B. Repair backfill settlement of trenches during one year period. 15 C. Drain and flush system within one year guarantee period. 16 D. Instruct Owner and Owner's personnel in operation and general maintenance of 17 system. 18 END OF SECTION************************~`*************** 9947.00 02785 - 9 IRRIGATION SYSTEM irestation Subject: Firestation Date: Thu, 10 Aug 2000 14:31:21 -0500 From: "Shelley Griffin" <shelley@tca.net> To: <rholliday@bnvarch.com> Here are the water and sewer demands you requested.
