Box 2628 Wilmington, North Carolina 28402 VIA FACSIMILE AND REGULAR MAIL Dear Ms. Braden As requested, this letter serves to indicate the current zoning and future rezoning plans for the property described in your letter of February 16, 1999. Presently the majority of the area is zoned C-1 General Commercial. As indicated. on the map that was Faxed. last week and enclosed with this correspondence, two additional lots were rezoned by City Council on 2-1-99. The Council will consider another rezoning of the 1 acre tract located along Texas Avenue that is presently owned by the First Methodist Church. That will leave only the 4 tracts at the corner of Texas and Holleman with WPC zoning. The staff will initiate rezoning of these tracts , as directed by the Planing & Zoning Commission, sometime over the next several months. Once initiated the process takes two months. Of course,..- ultimately it is the City Council's final`decision. The remaininglots alongTexas moving north to Harvey Rd. will not be considered-for rezoning to anything other then WPC at this time. I-hope this addresses-your question. Please contact me if you need: additional-information, I can be reached at (409) 764-3.570, Sincerely, i~ G~~- Jane R Kee, AICP City Planner Attachment: Area Map Home of Texas ABM University 99~IOD,102 99100,102 v~-lo,~ io2 Lydia R Hilton Dondaco Inc.
