O. Ball Subdivision Phase II Preliminary Plat. This memo is a .follow-up to our telephone :conversation on Tuesday, September 29, 1998 concerning the processing of the L. O. Ball Phase II preliminary plat. You expressed concern regarding the changes to the existing preliminary plat" .and the earliest possible date; you could receive an approved final plat. Since the changes to the existing approved preliminary plat are substantial, a revised preliminary plat .must be considered by the Planning -and Zoning Commission. If the revised preliminary. plat does not change the alignment of Longmire Drive, the. plat will not be forwarded to the City Council for their review. The following is a scenario based on the next available deadline, which seems to be the quickest possible option available to you: Submit the revised preliminary plat, with any proposed phasing, by noon on Wednesday, October 14, 1998 #o be considered by the Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday,. November S, 1998. A final plat, identical to the preliminary plat, could be submitted as early as noon on Monday, November 9, 1998 with complete construction documents, .etc. to be considered by the Commission on Thursday, December 3, 1998. There are other deadlines in November and December that you could meet; however, the above scenario is the absolute earliest you can get an approved final plat on a portion or the entire Phase II. Due to the recent staff shortage as well as increased development pressures, we cannot guarantee the normal 5 - 7 day review time on plans. I strongly encourage you to turn in any and all plats and associated plans as soon as .possible. If a large number of items are submitted on a particular deadline,. we may be forced. to process items on a .first come, first served basis. We will do everything we can to process your preliminary and final plats; however,. we cannot .guarantee that you will be placed on a specific Commission meeting even if you meet the .established deadline.
