Crowley's 700+ acres =Reply ~Reply`;Reply The plan is to take it to and through Pebble f?11s. To carry it to the Crowley tract will require an extension to SH6 and under it. The bore under the highway will be very expensive. If we have to carry it through the 7.00 acres it will be considerably more that we have to front. At present we have about $1 million to do the Nantucket and Pebble Hills lines.. Those two projects will, take all of that and more. Unless the powers ' that be can find additional funds, I'm afraid we won't have any. extra to extend the lines any further than we've already committed. »> Jane Kee 06/25/97 10:34am »> I thought this WAS one-of the impact fee lines. Crowley wants to wait until he knows exactly this acreage and then will turn in a final plan. I told Chuck Ellison we'd need info by July 28th for the Aug. 7th P&Z. That'll give us a few days to look at the changes and write a memo to P&Z. The revised plan that's in here now has some errors in it that Lee found so don't depend on the numbers in the legend. Half of this. is in zone 10 , the-other half is not in a zone. Zone 10 is to have a community park of 50 acres according to the comp plan & this is a good oppertunity to pursue this. 2. The greenbelt is a good idea but the bridges for the streets should include hike bike access under them so we can tie it togeather later. 3. The acerage_is adiquite to cover the dedication. 4. The school site in conjunction with the park is a good idea.but if it were placed next to the community. park as at southwood it might be an even better idea. CC: Sbeachy .;.Shirley. Volk.... I have about 3 small copies of his color plan but I don't think we have anything else: i assume he needsto submit some letter or summary description of changes, etc. and perhaps a big plan and some money. His # is 4-71.3-817-5717. Would one of you: please call him and enlighten him. If I calf him back he'll start talking to me again about;the roadway:. Box 9960 1101 Texas Avenue College Station, TX 77842 Tel: 409 764 3500 MEMORANDUM October 29,1998 TO: .Jim Callaway, Director of Development Services FROM:. teve Beachy, Director of Parks & Recreation SUBJECT: Crowley Tract Parkland Dedication The Parks & Recreation Board at a special meeting on October 29th, approved the conceptual plan for the proposed Crowley Tract parkland dedication with the following provisions: 1) Pedestrian access be provided .under State Highway 40 to connect the two parts of the development 2) The parkland be located adjacent to .a proposed elementary school site 3) Two sites designated on the south half of the master plan as neighborhood parks should remain as part of the subdivision responsibility. One site is at the entrance on Greens Prairie Road and the other is located at the intersection of that entrance road and the next major thoroughfare.. 4) The proposed retention/detention facility be constructed to retain as much of its natural characteristics as possible.
