Subject: Re: Meeting with neighbors. about N. Graham abandonment
ok.. no problem... and actually it was the city that asked steve arden to prepare the plat (for clarity
purposes). and steve and mike. mcclure dont want to help get it signed and it is not any interest of theirs if
it gets signed or not because it was. not something they were obligated'to do by ordinance.. they did it
to help the process and these property owners. wont-answer any iien or property legal questions just
engineering questions and will refer them to their own lawyer. if they dont sign it that is fine with us and
the plat will be left in our drawer and never filed. their ions not ours... sorry, you can decline my most
recent reminder mtg notice.. thanks.

Veronica - I'm going to have to bow out of the meeting this Thursday. l know we spoke about this a little
earlier, but 'I don't know that the City should be meeting with these property owners in any capacity. Our
role in this whole thing was merely to abandon the property. The property owners do not have to sign a
plat. It is completely discretionary. If Mike .McClure wants them to sign off, then that would be his
responsibility. As far as questions concerning any liens, etc. the property owners need to retain their own
attorney to render a title opinion. For the City to advise. these .people in any way is potentially a conflict.
