A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, FOR THE
PURPOSE OF MAKING A GRANT APPLICATION FOR "KIDFISH" TO TIm
TEXAS pARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS,
the Texas Parks and Wildlife has authorized "KIDFISH" to set aside
funds annually to be used to help local non-profit groups renovate and
improve urban fisheries to promote leisure recreation and to introduce
underserved constituents to services, programs, and facilities; and
the. Texas Legislature has approved local governments to participate in
this grant process; and
the City of College Station is fully eligible to receive assistance under this
program; and

the City of College Station is desirous of authorizing an official to repre-
sent and act in its behalf in dealing with the Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department concerning this program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCn. OF THE CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of College Station hereby certifies that it is eligible to
receive assistance under this program.
SECTION 2: That the City Council hereby authorizes and directs its City Manager to
act for the City of College Station in dealing with the Texas Parks and
Wildlife Department for the purpose of this grant program, and the City
Manager is hereby officially designated as the representative in this
regard.
SECTION 3: The City Council hereby specifically authorizes and approves a grant
application for "KIDFISH" for youths and adults.

TEXAS, APPROVfNG A GRANT APPLICATION FOR A COMPUTER LAB
INSTRUCTOR AT THE LINCOLN RECREATION CENTER.
WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor has grant funds available for a SAFE AND
DRUGFREESCHOOLSprogram;~d
WHEREAS, The City Council believes that it is in the best interest of the City to
make ~ application for funds that are available through the Office of the
Governor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to apply for a grant from the
Office of the Governor for Criminal Justice Department funds for the
SAFE AND DRUG FREE SCHOOLS program.
SECTION 2: That the City Council hereby authorizes and approves a grant application
for a computer lab instructor to be located at the Lincoln Recreation
Center.

A RESOLUTION PRESCRIBING AN ASSESSMENT FOR GARBAGE DISPOSAL IN TIIE
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOL YED by the City Council of the City of College Station that:
Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter II, Section 5, of the City of CoUege Station Code of
Ordinances. there shall be monthly charges assessed and collected from each person, firm or
corporation within the city limits the following monthly assessment charges for garbage
collection and disposal:
I.
GENERAL RATE PROVISION
Except as othelWise provided in this resolution, the charges for garbage collection and disposal
shall be assessed according to the following schedule:

Each Residential I dwelling unit utilizing a small automated
refuse container and provided with garbage, rubbish, brush
and recycling collection once weekly,
Additional monthly fee for Residential I dwelling units
having more than one automated refuse container. This rate
shall be assessed for each additional container utilized.
Each Residential II dwelling unit utilizing an automated
refuse container and provided with twice per week garbage
collection and once per week rubbishlbrush collection.
Each Residential III dwelling unit utilizing an automated
refuse container for garbage collection only. Service will be
provided twice weekly.
MinimlUU monthly charge for small businesses that jointly
use a commercial-type refuse container without causing a
health, sanitation or litter problem.
II.
COMMERCIAL AUTOMAlED COLLECTION RATES
The monthly per container garbage collection and disposal charge for commercial locations shall
be based on container size, nwnber of containers utilized and frequency of collection per week.

The following additional charges will be assessed and collected upon the perfonnance of the
described service or the occurrence of the described use or condition:

Daily rental fee for the use of any city-owned, 20 cubic yard
rol1-off container.
Daily rental fee for the use of any city-owned, 30 cubic yard
roll-off container.
Daily rental fee for the use of any city-owned, 40 cubic yard
roll-off container.
Additional fee for collection service requested by customer in
addition to the scheduled service on a 90 gallon container.
Additional fee for any location (other1han residential) where
the container was blocked and the collection vehicle must
return to provide service.
Additional fee for collection service requested by customer in
addition to the scheduled service on a 2 cubic yard or 400
gallon container.
Additional fee for delivery and set-up on any city-owned, roll-
off container.
Additional fee for collection service requested by customer
in addition to the scheduled service on a 4 cubic yard
container.
Additional fee for collection service requested by customer
in addition to the scheduled service on a 4 cubic yard
compactor.
Additional fee for collection service requested by customer
in addition to the scheduled service on a 8 cubic yard
container.
Additional fee for collection service requested by customer
in addition to the scheduled service on a 6 cubic yard
compactor.
Unprepared solid waste minimum charge. Actual cost of
clean up can be charged pursuant to City of College Station
Ordinance No. 1845, Approved March 22, 1990.

Allroll-ofI container service per load plus current per ton
landfill charge.
The solid waste superintendent, or his representatives, shall be notified of any new service
locations or changes in service levels and will designate the container(s) to be utilized. The
superintendent can require changes in service levels at any location when the current service is
inadequate and is causing a health, sanitation, or litter problem.
Payments must be received at the city utility office on or before the due date to avoid late charges.
Payment received after the due date will be assessed a penalty equaling ten percent (10%) of the
current month's charges with a minimum charge of three dollars ($3.00).
These rates shall be effective on all invoices submitted by the City of College Station to users on
or after April 1, 1998.
