Bryan Seventh-day Adventist Church
iZiB Ettle Street
Bryan, Texas 77803
July is, 1997
College Station. Planning Commission
Dear Friends,
Herewith is a detailed explanation as requested in No. 3 of your minimum requirements form..
1. Church building to include a sanctuary to seat around 200, Bible class rooms (10-15) of various sizes,
fellowship hall & kitchen, foyer,. restrooms and church office. Paved parking lot for 70-100 cars. We uvant
to make provision for growth.
2. Present membership 64. Attendance 40-80 at present.
3. Regular hours of operation; Saturday 8:30 am to noon and 5-8 pm, Wednesday 7-8 pm
plus other occasional use.
4. Virtually all the traffic to our facility would be on the frontage road where our entrance would be.
We have no plans for any other access.
5. No employees at present. There could be 1-4 some years in the future depending on growth and
whether we are financially able to build a small Christian school
6. We wanted 5 acres because we hope to have a small church school (elementary) associated with the
church some day.. We would expect to have between 12 and 35 students. and 1 or 2 teachers. It would
be primarily for our member's children but others who wanted to attend a Christian school would be
accepted .subject to space. There would be aplay-ground and it would .probably be located in the
northeast corner of the property. near the park and farthest away from residences. The school would
operate Monday -Friday at the usual school times.
We believe our proposed use of this property would enhance the neighborhood and would not have any
detrimental effect :whatsoever. Since our entrance would be on the frontage road and near the center of
the property our traffic should have no effect on the residential neighborhood.
We want to assure the Commission and the neighborhood that we want to co-operate in every way
possible and hope to have a happy relationship with all of you
Sincerely yours,
D. Brenneman, Pastor

RE: Proposed Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
This is to express my opposition to the use of the 5.0 acres along the west side of the Hwy. 6 East
Bypass just south of the Richard Carter Park for construction of a church. I strongly believe it
will be detrimental to the quality of life currently held in our neighborhood.
Please contact me at (409) 846-4408 if you have any questions regarding this matter.
