Date: 1 /21 /98 9:51 AM Subject: Re: Schlotzsky's in Northgate the ordinance states wood or masonry only. if i recall correctly, the nrb specifically discussed the possibility of metal enclosures, and made a very concious decision against them.. so, my answer is "no". do you want to just. pass that on and have them call me if they want to talk more about it? »> Shirley Volk 01/21/98 09:45AM »> Vince, the contractor, has called Lance: to-ask if he can change his dumpster enclosure from a 9 ft. tall cedar enclosure to some type of metal enclosure. It's a shared dumpster and its location is behind IHOP, so it can't been seen from College very easily, but it backs up to the Mobile Station that faces University Drive. His phone number at the job shack is 260-4694. I will be happy to call him back for you if you want, or if you want to, go ahead, but would appreciate that you reply on this a-mail so I can print it and put it in the file for documentation. Richard Benning, Cheryl Anz, Julius Gribou, Charles Anderson, Sabine McCully, Paul Kasper and Wayne Rife. Staff: .Natalie Ruiz On Wednesday, Decemberl0, 1997, the NRB met to discuss the sign package for the new Schlotzsky's Deli currently under construction at 107 South College Avenue within the Albertson's shopping center (previously Mr. Gatti's). The Board reached a consensus that the following items should be addressed by staff: _ Explore the possibility of .negotiating with Schlotzsky's representatives to lower the existing freestanding sign on the small ATM building. The Board feels strongly that the poles above the :existing bank sign can should be removed (approximately 4.3'). There is room available on the sign .for Schlotzsky's to install a sign can below the existing bank sign or negotiate with the bank to lower their sign and put the Schlotzsky's sign in its place. _ The large lighted letters for "Schlotzsky's deli" that will be attached to the building and too large.
