HomeMy WebLinkAboutMiscellaneousFILE NOTE Ninfa's Expansion Case #97-428 Qn Friday, May 8, 1998 at 4:30, I spoke with Rod Rodriguez, the Ninfa's contractor, about the completion of the expansion. to their existing restaurant. I found out that he had already planned on opening the patio for Mother's.. Day weekend and had final building and fire inspections completed that afternoon. I told hirn that I would still need to check with various departments before we could issue a permanent C.O. and that I knew the additional parking had not been. constructed. Rod requested to be able to open for the weekend with his promise that the parking would be installed ASAP. I agreed to issue a temporary and conditional. C.O. which required Rod to construct the 6 additional parking spaces by Friday, May 15, 1998. After a site visit on Tuesday, May 12,.1998 I noticed that the dumpster pad shown on the approved site plan was not constructed. and that the container was located in the wrong place. I also noticed that the site parking spaces were under construction; however, they were shifted to the north to connect with the existing row of parking instead of what was shown on the. approved plan. Tim Smith, Shirley Volk and myself met with Rod, Mary Lou and Mario Rodriguez concerning the issuance of a permanent C.O. for .the Ninfa's expansion, We noticed that physically, the dumpster pad could not be placed were it was shown on the site plan due to a large. utility pole, a fire hydrant, a water meter. and a large concrete utility pole. We worked with Mr. Rodriguez on a compromise and agreed to the following: _ The City will issue a temporary and conditional C.U.. until June 1, 1998 to allow Mr. Rodriguez to finish the following items: _ Complete. the construction ofthe 6 additional parking spaces to connect with the existing parking .row and .incorporate. the existing 8' x 12' dumpster pad. with the following modification to the existing. dumpster pad to the north behind Ninfa's: _ A small slope. or ramp :could be constructed in front of the existing .dumpster pad directly behind Ninfa's (approximately T8' x 20' pad) to allow sanitation trucks to access the .pad site. One section of fence along the .southernmost side of the pad could be removed and additional concrete poured at anangle so that the pad is at more of an angler to allow for access. This would allow for two dumpsters to be placed on within the same pad site to service Ninfa's and Pet Paradise. {_ Natalie Thomas Ruiz Assistant Development Coordinator May 13, 1998 c~C~ MEMORANDUM TO: Bill Scarmardo, WCS Architects ' li Thomas.
