GIS shows the address to be on the north side of 60 and would be serviced by Brushy at this time. We
have no information on Brushy's line sizes. The upside is that College Station Utilities has requested the
area in our most recent CCN amendment. There is no way to guarantee that CSU will be granted the
area and if so when.
They should begin negotiating with Brushy for an up sized line and fire protection. This is the same
problem that the City of Bryan encountered recently with their CCN amendment. Brushy was not going to
upside their lines, pressure, or volume requirements to meet fire protection for proposed facilities. This is
giving the City of Bryan some leverage in their continued negotiations for the CCN amendment.
If the City allows a variance then we set a precedent for Brushy customers and future customers in the
requested CCN area and City Limits.

property is located on 60? Once I have that I can verify the information and answer your questions.

I have been contacted by a David Shelby who owns a vehicle repair garage on Raymond Stotzer within
the city limits. He wants to expand his shop, but would either need to install a fire hydrant or seek a
variance to the ordinance requiring a hydrant.
I have two questions for you:
1. Who has the CCN for the location?
2. If we have the CCN is there any time line for providing service?
I think I remember this being in the Brushy Water system; if I'm correct I do not think their system would
support a hydrant. Please fill me in on any other items you think would be important for this area.

To Whom It May Concern:
This is to advise you that the zoning and use of the above-captioned Premises are
governed by the laws and regulations of the City of College Station, and the Premises
have been zoned C-B, Business Commercial in the Corridor Overlay District which lists
hotels as a use by right/conditional use.
Due to the age of the project, development nonconformities such as parking, signage and
landscaping are likely to exist. In the event of any damage or destruction to any portion
of the. building or improvements located on the Premises, such buildings may be rebuilt,
repaired, and restored to current conditions, including any zoning nonconformities,
without conforming to the current zoning code requirements.
A valid certificate of occupancy was issued to the project at the time it was constructed
and inspected. It is not necessary for a new purchaser or owner to obtain a new certificate
of occupancy in order to continue its current use.
You will be receiving an invoice in the mail in the amount of $20.00 plus $1.65 tax to
cover the cost of this letter.

julie - thanks for the info. we normally left this type of thing up to our engineers, but we're down to one
who is nose-deep in work! we worry when we can no longer see that nose...
i'm passing all this info on to jennifer reeves, who is working on this case. she'll be your contact from now
on. tomorrow is my last official day of work here (i will be moving on to take a new position in sugar land).

Sabine,
Sorry I have not responded quicker to your question. Title 30 Texas
Administrative Code, Chapter 285.4 states must there should have at least
1/2 acre if lot is served by public water service and at least one acre if
there are going to be private wells.
Legally, the field lines (or treatment and disposal) should all fit within
the boundries of the new subdivision. If you let them cross property
lines, it will cause legal problems for future owners.
That section of the law also address manufactured housing communities and
multi-unit residential units.
Call me if you would like me to help with the subdivision review. I would
suggest that they explain what the purpose of the property is such as
restaurant, beauty salon, car wash, because you would want to plan for more
land area for the disposal of waste water.
