AN ORDINANCE REZONING THREE PARCELS OF LAND TOTALING 5.327 ACRES
LOCATED IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, ABSTRACT NUMBER 7, ALSO
BEING DESCRIBED AS . PART OF TRACTS I AND 2 OF A PREVIOUS REZONING IN
ORDINANCE #1399 APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON DECEMBER 21, 1982.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STA:rION,.
TEXAS:
The following three tracts of land rezoned as described with the condition that there be a
landscape buffer as provided in the Research & Development zoning district between the
proposed C-l General Commercial tract and the abutting R-5 ApartmentsIMediumDensity. The
developer of the C-I General Commercial tract. must install the above mentioned buffer at the
time the C-I tract comes under construction. -
Parcel A: Containing 1.6500 acres and described by metes and bounds
description it1 exhibit A attached from M-I Planned Industrial to C-I General
Commercial.
Parcel B: Containing 2.3272 acres and described by metes and bounds
description in exhibit B attached from M-I Planned Industrial to R-5
ApartmentsIMedium Density.
Parcel C: Containing 1.3499 acres and described by metes and bounds
description in exhibit C attached from R-5 ApartmentsIMedium Density to C-I
General Commercial.
The above mentioned parcels are also shown graphically in Exhibit D attached.
A notice of the time and place,,-where and when said ordinance would be given a public hearing
and considered for final passage, was published in The Eagle, a daily newspaper of general
circulation in the Cities of Bryan and College Station, said publication being on June II, 1997, the
same being at least fifteen (15) days prior to a public hearing to be held in the Council Room of
the City Hall in College Station, Texas, at 7:00 p.m., on June 26, 1997, to permit the public to be
heard. prior to final consideration of this ordinance.
