Subject: Drainage Letter - Scandia Apts Expansion -Reply
Let's go with the owner/architect submitting an application for a development
permit. Since there are no modifications to a waterway and there should be
verg little change in runoff, I will agree to not requiring them to submit a
report. I will however require that they at least show where the water will
flow so that we can determine if there is potential damage to surrounding.

Please think back to our conversation about this very minor expansion to a
rather large apartment site. I faxed the architect engineering's requirement
for a simple drainage letter which includes the q's for the l0 .year & the 100
year .events, both' pre & post development.
Well, I got a call back today pointing out that a report with that information
will cost upwards, of $1000. .Considering you were not going to require
anything at one point, I'm wondering if you want to re-think this again! If
the requirement is going to be changed soon, perhaps it could be changed
sooner, especially if it's a policy and not an ordinance (that's a big-if,
because I really don't know!)
The architect's name is Mark Mucasey and his number is (713)521-1233.... I told
him you would call him tomorrow and I thought you might like to have'',me be
with you when you make the call'.
