Dear Ms. yolk:
My wife and I are in the process of building a new home in Emerald Forest .and I understand that the plats
for lots 4, 5, and 6 of Emerald Forest Phase 8 must be amended. This is necessary to reflect the fact that
lot 5 has been jointly purchased by myself and my wife and by Steve and Lisa Aldrich. Additionally, lot 5
has been divided by deed such that my wife and I own two thirds of lot 5 adjacent to lot 6 (which we own)
while Steve and Lisa Aldrich own one third of lot 5 adjacent to lot 4 (which they own).
I have engaged. Mr. Mike Hester, of Hester Engineering Company, to prepare the documents necessary for
amending the plats for these lots. He has informed me this morning that the city of College Station requires
a $200 fee for making these amendments. Therefore, you -will find a check for that amount enclosed with
dais letter.

Dear Mr. Dunne:
Thank you for the time you spent. helping to resolve the issuance of a building permit for the construction of
my new home. As a result of .our discussion , I understand in order for ~ building permit to be issued to
Mr: John Godfrey, that the plats for lots 4, 5, and 6 of Emerald Forest Phase 8 must be amended. This is
necessary to reflect the fact -that lot 5 has been purchased by .myself and my wife and by Steve and Lisa
Aldrich.. Additionally, lot 5 has been divided by deed such that my wife and I own two thirds of lot 5
adjacent to lot 6 (which we own) while Steve and Lisa Aldrich own one third of lot 5 adjacent to lot. 4
{which they own). Furthermore, I understand that while ordinarily the City of College Station would
require the amended plat to be approved prior to the issuance of a building permit, the City has agreed to
issue a building permit conditionally, contingent on the expedient completion of the amendment.
Thus, the purpose of this letter is to confirm the intent of.Mark and Judy Weichold and of Steve and Lisa
Aldrich to have the three existing plats (4, 5, and 6) amended to show two, new larger lots (4R and 6R).
Furthermore, I have engaged Mr. Mike Hester, of Hester Engineering Company, to prepare the documents
necessary for the amendment. It is Mr. Nester's intention to have all necessary preparations completed for
submission to the City. of College Station on or before May 15, 1996... Finally, I understand there is an
agenda item on the upcoming city: council. meeting. which, if approved, would cause the. approval process
for making such amendments to become more streamlined. It is my intention to submit the request for
amendment under the new streamlined process when it is approved.
Thank you for your help and your willingness. to work with us as we seek to begin construction.
