I have the following comment re: the rezoning of lots fronting Tarrow: The lots abut a single family area- not a "nice one" but people live there in "homes" and deserve buffering, appropriate land use adjacencies, etc. The "community appearance" of the area is poor. The lots along Tarrow have been cleared but do not enhance the area.. The view into the residential area is poor. Likewise, the residents' view out is poor. Buffering is needed and these lots are the buffer. Any zone change and re-development should be deal with a larger area, not just one or two lots. We should look at a recommendation for the whole frontage. This may mean recommending denial of one or two lots. I have some ideas but we will not discuss them in time for your report.. Might be best to recommend denial or table and maybe we will $ave more to offer at the meeting. `•~ CITY OF COLLEGE STATIOI`I `~ LEGAL DEPARTMENT \ ® POST OFFICE BOX 9960 1101 TEXAS AVENUE COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS 77842-9960 (409) 7643507 IYAEitlAORAItlDU~ TO: Natalie Thomas, Planning Technician FROM: Carla Robinson, Assistant City Attorney ~~ RE: Rezoning C7rdinance -Prairie View Heights DATE: September 10, 1996 As requested, please end attached the proposed rezoning ordinance, for Lots 23 and 24, Block 4, Prairie View Heights.
