SUBJECT: Conditional Use Permit -Portable Classrooms for High. School; proposed
portable classroom facilities to be located at the .existing A&M Consolidated High
School located at 701 F.M. 2818.. (95-705)
A Project Review Committee meeting was held Wednesday, May 31, 1995 to discuss the above
mentioned conditional use permit request. Assistant City Engineer Morgan moved to recommend
.approval of the proposed use and site .plan with the condition that only six of the proposed nine
portable buildings be allotived on the site. The remaining three buildings will not be allowed
until additional drainage information is provided and approved by sta. ff.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: (The following is a list of discretionary items, ordinance
requirements identified by the Project Review Committee. This. list does not relieve the
applicant of total compliance with all current ordinance requirements.)
Discretionary .Items:
_ Provide adequate screening along Nueces and F.M. 28.18 to soften the effect of the
proposed portable buildings.
Paint the buildings. the samecolor as he existing high school:buildng.

Ordinance Requirements:
Show the existing .parking lot on the site plan including fire lane and .parking ,space
.markings. The fire lane of this parking lot must. be maintained at all times to provide
protection to the portable buildings.
Comments/Concerns:
_ The developer is responsible for 20% of the total cost of electrical service including two
2" conduits :from. the power pole located along the Frontage Road to the transformer
location. The developer is also responsible to supply conduit from the transformer
location to the meter location (the size and number :will be dependent on the total load).
Provide a 10' public utility easement from the power pole to the transformer. Coordinate
electrical service requirements with ElectricaLLine Designer Don Lusk at (409) 764-3660.
P&Z Representative Smith seconded the motion to recommend approval of the use and site plan
with the above mentioned conditions. which passed unopposed. (3 - 0).
SUBMIT 10 COPIES OF THE REVLSED SITE PLAN BY FRIDAY, JUNE 9, 1995 TO BE
INCLUDED IN THE PLt?d~TNING AND ZONING COMMISSION. PACKETS FOR THE
MEETING OF THURSDAY, JUNE 15, 1995. THE MEETING WILL BE HELD. IN THE
COUNCIL ROOM OF THE COLLEGE STATION CITY HALL LOCATED AT 1101 TEXAS
AVENUE SOUTH.
