AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 1638,
SECTION 18.1, OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, AMENDING THE
PENALTY SECTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:

That Section 18.1 of Ordinance No. 1638, the. Zoning Ordinance, of the Code of Ordi-
nances of the City of College Station, Texas, pertaining to the Penalty for Violation, is
hereby amended #o read as follows:
"SECTION 18.1: PENALTY FOR VIOLATION
Any person who violates or fails to comply with the requirements of this ordinance, or
who builds or alters any building or structure in violation of any plan or statement sub-
mitted and approved hereunder, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and be liable to a fine
pursuant to the General Penalty set out m Chapter 1, Section 5, of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of College Station. The owner of any building or premises or
part thereof, where anything in violation of this ordinance shall be placed or shall exist,
sha11 be guilty of a separate offense and upon conviction thereof shall be fined as herein
provided.
2.
And, it is ordained that this ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage
in accordance with the City Charter of the City of College Station.

AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH-WEST SIDE OF HIGHWAY
N0. 6 AT THE NORTH-WEST EXIT OF THE HIGHWAY N0. 6 EAST BY-PASS AND KNOWN A5
"DEACON PLACE SUBDIVISION SECTION #1" FROM DISTRICT N0. 1, FIRST D'~IELLING
HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT N0. 4, FIRST BUSINESS DISTRICT, AND MORE PARTICU-
LARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:.
WHEREAS, the City Council held. a public hearing in the City Hall at
7:00 p.m. on June 25, 1971, on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the city limits,
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain tract or parcel
of land lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League in College
Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that tract conveyed to the
Area Progress Corporation by C.M.R. Deacon, et ux, by deed. recorded in Volume
275, Page 705 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a concrete right-of-way marker in the southwest right-of-way
line of State Highway No. 6, S 45° 07' E - 1956.3 feet. from the intersection
of the southwest right-of-way line of State Highway No. b and the southeast
right-of-way line of F.M 2515;
Thence S 3° 47' 35" E - 163.72 feet to a concrete monument;
Thence S 37° 24` 42" E - 650.0 feet with the southwest right-of-way line
of State Highway No. 6;
Thence S 52° 35' 15" W - 400.0 feet;
Thence N 37° 24' 42" W - 980.0 feet;
Thence N 52° 35' l5" E - 465.50 feet to the southwest right-of-way line
of State Highway No. 6;
Thence S 45° 07' E - 165.15 feet with the southwest right-of-way line of
State Highway No. 6 to the point of beginning and containing 9..44 acres of
land more or less, from District No. 1, First Dwelling House District to
District No. 4, First Business District, and it is s_o ordained that said change
be effective immediately.
