Item: Consideration of a final plat of Harvey Road East and Gateway Park Subdivisions. (95-242) Item Summary: The subject property is located at the intersection of Harvey Road and State Highway 6. This final amending plat of Lot 1 R of the Harvey Road East Subdivision and Lot 2, Block 2 of Gateway Park Subdivision reflects the as built conditions of a 30 foot private access easement. This easement provides access from the public alley to the Furrow Building Materials expansion. In addition to the comments. made at the Presubmission Conference held on November 1, 1995, staff requested that the private drainage easement be designated as public with the condition that all unimproved channel sections be maintained by the property owner. This designation gives the City the authority to enter the property during emergency situations to correct drainage problems. This concern however, was not discussed during the Presubmission Conference but is considered to be of high importance due to the existing conditions of other private drainage easements. The engineer for this plat has made this easement designation including a note for the above mentioned condition. Staff recommends approval with the comments identified at the Presubmission Conference. The Planning and Zoning Commission considered this item at their November 16, 1995 meeting and recommended approval by consent.
