Case No.: 95-227
Applicant: McClure Engineering for Omar Smith Enterprises
ITEM: Final Plat of Carter Lake Acres, an ETJ subdivision
ITEM SUMMARY AND STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Carter Lake Acres is an
ETJ Subdivision located at the northwest corner of the Rock Prairie Road and Bradley
Road intersection (Actually part of the subdivision is within the City Limits while the
majority is in the ET7). A Presubmission Conference was held on August 2, 1995 to
discuss this item. At this meeting, staff requested that the applicant label the 10' public
utility easement along the south side of lots 1,2, and 3. Staff also requested that a
general note be added to explain why the 16' public utility easement is located 5' from
the right-of--way on Harris Road. A preliminary plat of this subdivision was approved
by Council on May 11, 1995. At that time staff recommended that the applicant bring
Harris and Bradley Road up to County standards. Council approved the plat without
this requirement. Staff recommends approval of the plat with the Presubmission
Conference comments outlined above.
