AGENDA ITEM NO. 1: The Consent Agenda consists of non-controversial or
"housekeeping" items required by law. Items may be removed from the Consent Agenda
by any citizen, City staff member, or Commissioner by making such a request prior to a
motion and vote on the Consent Agenda.
(1.1) Approval of minutes from the meeting of July 20, 1995.
(1.2) Consideration of a final plat of the Nantucket Phase Five Subdivision. (95-225)
Consent agenda items 1.1 and 1.2 were approved unanimously by consent.
AGENDA ITEM N0.2: Public hearing to consider a final E.T.J. replat of lots 17-1,
17-2, 17-3 & 17-4, block 7 of the Rainbow Acres Second Installment Subdivision. (95-224)x,/'
Assistant City Engineer Morgan presented the staff report and recommended approval of the final
replat with the condition of a general note which states that lots 17-2R, 17-3R, 17-4R and 17-6R
will be required to have an elevation certificate from the Brazos County Engineer's Office.
Chairman Hawthorne opened the public hearing. Seeing no one present to speak in favor of or in
opposition to the proposed replat, he closed the public hearing.
Commissioner Gribou moved to recommend approval of the final E.T.J. replat of the Rainbow
Acres Second Installment Subdivision with staff recommendations. Commissioner Smith
seconded the motion which passed unopposed (4 - 0).

Item: Consideration of a final plat (E.T.J. replat) for 28.1 acres of Rainbow
Acres 2nd Installment, Lots 17-1, 17-2, 17-3 and 17-4, Block 7. (95-224)
Item Summary: The subject lots are located in Rainbow Acres 2nd Installment
along Pate Road approximately 4,000 feet from Highway 30 at Bright Light
Baptist Church in the City's E.T.J. The purpose of this replat is to resubdivide
four existing lots into seven, in order to remove flood plain areas from lots 17-
1 R, 17-5R and 17-7R for flood insurance purposes. A Presubmission
conference was held on July 19, 1995 and Staff recommends approval with
the conditions identified at that meeting. The Planning and Zoning
Commission heard this item at their August 3, 1995 meeting and
recommended approval by consent. The County Commissioner's Court has
reviewed and approved the final plat.

A Presubmission Conference meeting was held Wednesday, July 19, 1995 to discuss the above
mentioned final .plat. The following is a list of ordinance requirements identified by the
Presubmission Conference. This fast does not relieve the applicant of total compliance with
alt current ordinance requirements.
Ordinance Requirements:
Staff will schedule a meeting with the Brazos County Engineer's office to discuss the
location of the floodplain and floodway in this area. Staff is concerned with the buildable
area on lots 17-6R and 17-2R and the interpretation of the floodplain area.
Submit a mylar original of the final plat by Thursday, August 3, 1995.
Verify that the scale is 1" = 100'.
SUBMIT 10 GOPIES OF THE REVISED FINAL PLAT BY FRIDAY, JULY 28, 1995 TO BE
INCLUDED IN THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION PACKETS FOR THE
MEETING OF AUGUST 3, 1995. THE CITY COUNCIL. WILL CONSIDER THE FINAL
PLAT ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 24, 1995. BOTH MEETINGS WILL BE HELD AT 7:00
P.M. IN THE COUNCIL ROOM OF THE COLLEGE STATION CITY HALL LOCATED AT
1101 TEXAS AVENUE SOUTH.
