PUBLIC HEARING AND CONSIDERATION OF A REZONING OF 2.315 ACRES
LOCATED NEAR THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF ROCK PRAIRIE ROAD AND
BRADLEY ROAD FROM A-O AGRICULTURAL OPEN TO R-1 SINGLE
FAMILY.
ITEM SUtVIlVIARY AND STAFF RECOMMENDATION
The subject property is in the process of being subdivided into a single lot in the Carter
Lake Acres subdivision, the majority of which is located in the ET7. The proposed
northerly property line is the same as the City limits line. In order to be allowed to
build a single family home on the new lot within the current zoning restrictions, the lot
would need to be a minimum of five acres. The request is in compliance with the Land
Use Plan and with land use patterns in the area. Staff recommends approval.
COUNCIL POLICY ENDS STATEMENTS -The following Ends Statements (shown
in bold) may or may not be met with the approval of this request. Council will decide,
based on the information in the staff report and any staff presentations, whether these
Ends Statements will be met with this request. In this case, none of the Ends
Statements are affected.

HISTORICAL OVERVIEW -Most of the property along Rock Prairie Road is still
zoned interim A-O from when it was annexed in 1983. The area on either side of the
road is reflected as low density single family on the Land Use Plan.
