ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 6.63 ACRE TRACT. OR PARCEL OF LAND,
KNOWN AS LOT 6, BLOCK 4, HARVEY HILLSIDE'S, COLLEGE STATION,
BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM A-0 AGRICULTURAL-OPEN TO C-2
`COMMERCIAL-INDUSTRIAL.
1NHEREAS, on August 25,.1994, the City Council of the City of College Station
convened and-pursuanf to notices proscribed by iaw, held a public hearing with
regard to the application for the rezoning of a 6.63 acre tract or parcel of land
known as Lot 6, Block. 4, Harvey' Hillsides, College .Station, Brazos County,
Texas,
WHEREAS, the above-described property is currently zoned A-O Agricultural-
Open and the current. use is as vacant land;
WHEREAS, the owners of the above-described property, Victor Drozd, Jr., and
Mark Drozd, have applied for the rezoning of the above-described property to C-
2Commercial-Industrial zoning;:
WHEREAS, the City Council of .the City of College Station, Texas, heard
evidence as to the iocation of the property on the southeast corner of Linda Lane
at its intersection with Highway... 30, directly across the street from Texas Instru-
ments;
WHEREAS, :evidence was .presented that the proposed .use ofi the property .will
be for office/warehouse space;
WHEREAS, evidence was presented that there is a need for' office/warehouse
space east of Highway 6 on Highway 30; and
WHEREAS, the City Council: of the City of College Station, .Texas has concluded
that the development taking place in this area is a changed condition that makes
the subject. property more suited to R-2 Commercial- Industrial use;
NOW, THEREFORE,. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE .CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, that the. above-described .property is hereby
rezoned from -A-O .Agricultural-Open to C-2 Commercial -Industrial, effective
immediately.
