AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 3.94 .ACRE TRACT OF LAND SITUATED IN
THE SOUTHWOOD VALLEY SUBDIVISION, SECTION 24A, SAID .TRACT
BEING .MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS TRACT B, BLOCK 55,
SOUTHWOOD VALLEY, SECTION 24A, ..COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS
COUNTY,. TEXAS, FROM R-1 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO R-2
DUPLEX.
WHEREAS, on May 26, 1994, the City Council of the City of College Station
convened and pursuant to notices proscribed by law held a public hearing with
regard to the application for the rezoning of 3.94 acres of property situated in the
Southwood Valley. Subdivision, Section 24A, College Station,. Brazos: County,
Texas, and more particularly described as Tract B, Block 55, Southwood Valley,
Section 24A, College Station,. Brazos County, Texas;
WHEREAS,. the above-described property is currently zoned. R-1 Residential
and the current use is vacant land;
WHEREAS,. the owner of the above-described property, Glenn and. Charles
Thomas, d/b/a Thomas Properties, has applied for the rezoning of the above-
described property to R-2 Duplex zoning;
WHEREAS,. the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, heard evi-
Bence that the proposed rezoning is in accordance with the City's Comprehen-
sive ('Ian;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION,. TEXAS, that the above-described property is hereby
rezoned from R-1 Residential to R-2 Duplex, effective immediately.
PASSED and APPROVED this 26th day of May, 1994.
