AN ORD1NANCE REZONING A 4.02 ACRE TRACT SITUATED IN THE
CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE,. ABSTRACT NUMBER 7, IN COLLEGE
STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING ALL THAT SAME TRACT
CONVEYED FROM JAMES E. JETT, ETAL, TO LARRY LANDRY, AS DESCRIBED
BY DEED RECORDED IN VOLUME 483, PAGE 651 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF
BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM C-1 GENERAL COMMERCIAL TO R-4 LOW
DENSITY APARTMENTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall Council Chambers at
7:00 P.M.. on Thursday, March 10, 1994, on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the City limits:
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of aU that certain tract or parcel of land totalling
4.02 acres, lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League, Abstract Number 7,
College Station, Brazos County, Texas and being all that same tract conveyed from James
E. lett, etal, to Larry Landry and described by deed recorded in volume 483, page 651 of
the deed records of Brazos County, Texas from C-1 General Commercial to R-4 Low
Density Apartments. Said tract is more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod found marking the north corner of said 4.02 acre tract, the west
corner of the Whitley SubdivisiOn, as depicted by plat recorded in volume 447, page 365 of the
Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and lying in the southeast right~of-way line of Southwest
Parkway.
THENCE S 350 23' 39" E - 227.49 feet with the southwest line of said Whitley Shbdivision to a
1/2" iron rod set for angle point in a creek,
THENGE S 440 30' 45" E ~ 371.00 feet with said subdivision line a 1/2" iron rod set for corner,
THENCE S 450 34' 43" W - 354.37 feet to a 1/2" iron rod set for corner in the northeast right-of-
way line of Christine Lane.
THENCE N 440 27' 45" W -152.93 feet with said right~f-way line to al/2" iron rod set for corner
in the southeast line of that same 4.22 acre tract conveyed to F. M. Short Co. as described by deed
recorded in volume 743, page 3870fthe official records of Brazos County, Texas,
THENCE N 430 42' 23" E - 110~70 feet with the common line between said 4.02 acre tract and
said 4.22 acre tract to a 1/2" iron rod set for corner,
THENCE N 440 42' 42" W - 499.95 feet with said common line to a 1/2" iron rod found for comer
in said Southwest Parkway right-of-way line,
THENCE N 57046' 11" E - 287.97 feet with said right~f-way line to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING, and containing 4.02 acres of land, more or less.

AND, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately. PASSED AND
APPROVED this 10th day of March, 1994.
