would result ina cOl1centration of Islamics in the
immediate area with the result that the value of my
property would be adversely affected.
Attached are copies of your Notification of Hearirlg and
of my Property Tax Receipt for 1991.
Since I will .not be able to attend the meeting in person,
I would greatly appreciate having my opposition to the

client,wefoundthatourapproved:building . permit set had an error.ln the expected seating
capacity .nu.mber.The building permit set. showed a seating capacity of 87 ,and the conditional
use permit showed 75 which is tnecorrectnumber.Ourreviseddrawingsreflect the correct
capacitt . Using thisnumbertorecaIculafe the required parking spaces, we have arrived at a
total of 33 spaces: ,tvventy-five(25) for the center and eight (8) for the triplex. This is four (4)
~paces less thanorigi.nallysubmitted.Thenew layout . allows for better drainage and .grading of

Islamic Community Church
In response to your ,questions regarding this case, I have the
fallowing recollections.
The applicants submitted a site plan that proposed.allof the
parking be he~d-inparking' an Stasney and Cherry Streets. The
proposal did not comply with the driveway policy so approval was
denied. .
The problems cited were separation of-the parking from the street
intersection, driveway width and parking that backed aut ,onto a
col'lectortype street. The applicant appealed the decision to
the city Council.
council denied the appeal, supporting the concerns but noting
that there ,are several ather developments an bath Cherry and
Stasney with parking that backs into the street. The applicant
submitted a revised site plan that moved the. parking away from
the intersection and narrowed the curb cut width to an acceptable
dimension. That site plan was approved by ,the staff.
