AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 10.18 ACRE TRACT OF LAND SITUATED IN THE ROBERT
STEVENSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NUMBER 54, IN BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING A
PORTION OF THE 159.657 ACRE TRACT CONVEYEDB'Y WELLBORN ROAD, LTD. TO LIEVEN J.
VAN RIETET AL. BYATRUSTEESDEEDDATED,APRIL 7, 1987' AND RECORDED IN VOLUME
963, 'PAGE 29 OF THE OFFICIAL RECORDS, OF. ,BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS; FROM A-O
AGRICULTURAL OPEN"TO R-l SINGLEFAMILY,DWELLING.
BE IT ORDAINED, BY.THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE',CITY OF. 'COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS
CQUNTY,TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m. on
Thursday, June 25, 1992 on the question' of rezoning a certain area 'within the City limits;
AND WHEREAS, the City Council' has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of"a 10..18 acre tract located along the east side of Arnold Road
extending the length between Schaffer ,Road and Victoria Avenue; having approximately 1400, feet of frontage
on Arnold Road and approximately 305 feet of depth; from A-O Agricultural Open to R-l Single Family
Residential; subject tract' more specifically described as:
All that certain tract" or. parcel" of land' lying and being ,situated in the ,Robert Stevenson Survey,
Abstract Number 54,oin Brazos County, Texas, and being a 0 portion of the 159.657 acre tract
conveyed byWellbornRoad,Ltd. to Lieven J. Van Riet et al by Trustee's Deed dated April 7,1987
and tecorded in Volume 963, Page 29 Of the Official Records of Brazos County, Texas.
COMMENCING; at an iron rod found marking the most easterly corner of the said 159.657 acre
tract, said iron road also being in the southwest ,right-of-way lin of Schaffer Road;
THENCE: 'N 480 3o."',39ItW for a distance "of 1143.52 feet along ,the fenced southwest ,line of said
Schaffer Road to the POINT OF'BEGINNING;
THENCE:,S 41045" 11'1 W into the interior of said 159.657 acre tract for a distance of 1457.39 feet
for corner;
THENCE: · N 47043'26"W for a, distance of 305.01 feet. to an angle point in the north line of the -
said 159.657 acre tract for corner, said corner also being in the southeast line of a county road caned
Arnold Road;
THENCE: along the said line of Arnold. Road, . as fenced for the following three calls:
N410 45' ll"E for a distance of 141.16 feet,
N54046'27"Eforadistallce of 28.I7 feet and
N 760 54' OlnE for. a distance of 30.23. feet. to .the intersection of said Arnold . Road line and the
southwest line of thebeforesaidSchaffer Road line;
THENCE:S 480 30' 39'tE for a distance of 181.26 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNINGo.'and
containing 10~18 acres of land, more or less..
AND, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately; passed and approved this 25th day of
June, 1992.
